From missing live storm coverage to struggling with the harshest business climate in history, The Weather Channel is rapidly becoming a rudderless ship. Now, a former network executive is demanding private flying privileges to take the top job. Can we just say—completely out of touch?
Where’s the Accountability?
Where is the board? Better yet, is there even a functioning board to hold management accountable for these decisions? The bigger issue here is that this story didn’t even make it into local coverage from the Atlanta Journal & Constitution. Why? They’ve restructured, merged business coverage into another section, and launched a flashy new ad campaign. If only we could say that’s going to lead to more accountability for shady dealings like the one outlined here.
